Psalms 28:1-7

1 To you, Yahweh, I call.  My rock, don't be deaf to me;  Lest, if you are silent to me,  I would become like those who go down into the pit.

2 Hear the voice of my petitions, when I cry to you,  When I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.

3 Don't draw me away with the wicked,  With the workers of iniquity who speak peace with their neighbors,  But mischief is in their hearts.

4 Give them according to their work, and according to the wickedness of their doings.  Give them according to the operation of their hands.  Bring back on them what they deserve.

5 Because they don't regard the works of Yahweh,  Nor the operation of his hands,  He will break them down and not build them up.

6 Blessed be Yahweh,  Because he has heard the voice of my petitions.

7 Yahweh is my strength and my shield.  My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped.  Therefore my heart greatly rejoices.  With my song I will thank him.

Genesis 16.16-17.1

Genesis 17:5,16-16

5 Neither will your name any more be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham; for the father of a multitude of nations have I made you.

16 I will bless her, and moreover I will give you a son by her. Yes, I will bless her, and she will be a mother of nations. Kings of peoples will come from her."

Romans 4:18-21

18 Who in hope believed against hope, to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, "So will your seed be."  19 Without being weakened in faith, he didn't consider his own body, already having been worn out, (he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb.  20 Yet, looking to the promise of God, he didn't waver through unbelief, but grew strong through faith, giving glory to God,  21 and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Ephesians 1:4-5,7-8

4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without blemish before him in love;  5 having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire,

7 in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,  8 which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,

Joshua 10:12-14

12 Then spoke Joshua to Yahweh in the day when Yahweh delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel; and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand you still on Gibeon; You, Moon, in the valley of Aijalon.  13 The sun stood still, and the moon stayed, Until the nation had avenged themselves of their enemies. Isn't this written in the book of Jashar? The sun stayed in the midst of the sky, and didn't hurry to go down about a whole day.  14 There was no day like that before it or after it, that Yahweh listened to the voice of a man: for Yahweh fought for Israel.

2 Corinthians 5:18-21

18 But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation;  19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.  20 We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us. We beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.  21 For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
