Luke 5:31-32

31 Jesus answered them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.  32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Galatians 1:6-9

6 I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different gospel;  7 and there isn't another gospel. Only there are some who trouble you, and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.  8 But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any gospel other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.  9 As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any gospel other than that which you received, let him be cursed.

Matthew 23:23-28

23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint, dill, and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faith. But you ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone.  24 You blind guides, who strain out a gnat, and swallow a camel!

25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and unrighteousness.  26 You blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the cup and of the platter, that the outside of it may become clean also.

27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitened tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.  28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Luke 18:9-12

9 He spoke also this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others.  10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray; one was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector.  11 The Pharisee stood and prayed to himself like this: 'God, I thank you, that I am not like the rest of men, extortioners, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.  12 I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all that I get.'

Luke 18:13-14

13 But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn't even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, a sinner!'  14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
