Luke 22:54-62

54 They seized him, and led him away, and brought him into the high priest's house. But Peter followed from a distance.  55 When they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard, and had sat down together, Peter sat among them.  56 A certain servant girl saw him as he sat in the light, and looking intently at him, said, "This man also was with him."

57 He denied Jesus, saying, "Woman, I don't know him."

58 After a little while someone else saw him, and said, "You also are one of them!"  But Peter answered, "Man, I am not!"

59 After about one hour passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, "Truly this man also was with him, for he is a Galilean!"

60 But Peter said, "Man, I don't know what you are talking about!" Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.  61 The Lord turned, and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the Lord's word, how he said to him, “Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times.”  62 He went out, and wept bitterly.

1 Timothy 1:15-16

15 The saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.  16 However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might display all his patience, for an example of those who were going to believe in him for eternal life.

Luke 22:60-61

60 But Peter said, "Man, I don't know what you are talking about!" Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.  61 The Lord turned, and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the Lord's word, how he said to him, “Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times.”

Luke 22:31-32

31 The Lord said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat,  32 but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn't fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers.”

John 8:3-11

3 The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery. Having set her in the midst,  4 they told him, "Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.  5 Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone such. What then do you say about her?"  6 They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of.  But Jesus stooped down, and wrote on the ground with his finger.  7 But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her.”  8 Again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.

9 They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.  10 Jesus, standing up, saw her and said, “Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?”

11 She said, "No one, Lord."  Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more.”
