1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep. God's Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.
1 The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt. They have done abominable works. There is none who does good.
17 As it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations." This is in the presence of him whom he believed: God, who gives life to the dead, and calls the things that are not, as though they were.
3 By faith, we understand that the universe has been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made out of things which are visible.
12 Therefore, as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; and so death passed to all men, because all sinned.
20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead. He became the first fruits of those who are asleep. 21 For since death came by man, the resurrection of the dead also came by man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
