Galatians 2:20

20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.

Galatians 3:3-5

3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completed in the flesh?  4 Did you suffer so many things in vain, if it is indeed in vain?  5 He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you, and works miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?

Romans 4:2-4

2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not toward God.  3 For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness."  4 Now to him who works, the reward is not counted as grace, but as debt.

Romans 11:6

6 And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

Luke 14:7-14

7 He spoke a parable to those who were invited, when he noticed how they chose the best seats, and said to them,  8 “When you are invited by anyone to a marriage feast, don't sit in the best seat, since perhaps someone more honorable than you might be invited by him,  9 and he who invited both of you would come and tell you, 'Make room for this person.' Then you would begin, with shame, to take the lowest place.  10 But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes, he may tell you, 'Friend, move up higher.' Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at the table with you.  11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”

12 He also said to the one who had invited him, “When you make a dinner or a supper, don't call your friends, nor your brothers, nor your kinsmen, nor rich neighbors, or perhaps they might also return the favor, and pay you back.  13 But when you make a feast, ask the poor, the maimed, the lame, or the blind;  14 and you will be blessed, because they don't have the resources to repay you. For you will be repaid in the resurrection of the righteous.”

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,  17 comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and word.

Galatians 5:22-26

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.  24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.  25 If we live by the Spirit, let's also walk by the Spirit.  26 Let's not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.

Romans 15:17-19

17 I have therefore my boasting in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.  18 For I will not dare to speak of any things except those which Christ worked through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,  19 in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of God's Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and around as far as to Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ;

1 Corinthians 15:10

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am. His grace which was bestowed on me was not futile, but I worked more than all of them; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Acts 17:24-28

24 The God who made the world and all things in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, doesn't dwell in temples made with hands,  25 neither is he served by men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself gives to all life and breath, and all things.  26 He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings,  27 that they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.  28 'For in him we live, and move, and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also his offspring.'

Philippians 2:12-13

12 So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.  13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.

Proverbs 16:9

9 A man's heart plans his course,  But Yahweh directs his steps.

Proverbs 16:1

1 The plans of the heart belong to man,  But the answer of the tongue is from Yahweh.

Ephesians 2:10

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.
