Acts 21:26-29

26 Then Paul took the men, and the next day, purified himself and went with them into the temple, declaring the fulfillment of the days of purification, until the offering was offered for every one of them.  27 When the seven days were almost completed, the Jews from Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the multitude and laid hands on him,  28 crying out, "Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches all men everywhere against the people, and the law, and this place. Moreover, he also brought Greeks into the temple, and has defiled this holy place!"  29 For they had seen Trophimus, the Ephesian, with him in the city, and they supposed that Paul had brought him into the temple.

Acts 16:6-10

6 When they had gone through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia.  7 When they had come opposite Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit didn't allow them.  8 Passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas.  9 A vision appeared to Paul in the night. There was a man of Macedonia standing, begging him, and saying, "Come over into Macedonia and help us."  10 When he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go out to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.

Philippians 1:12-26

12 Now I desire to have you know, brothers, that the things which happened to me have turned out rather to the progress of the gospel;  13 so that it became evident to the whole praetorian guard, and to all the rest, that my bonds are in Christ;  14 and that most of the brothers in the Lord, being confident through my bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the word of God without fear.  15 Some indeed preach Christ even out of envy and strife, and some also out of good will.  16 The former insincerly preach Christ from selfish ambition, thinking that they add affliction to my chains;  17 but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel.

18 What does it matter? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed. I rejoice in this, yes, and will rejoice.  19 For I know that this will turn out to my salvation, through your supplication and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,  20 according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will in no way be disappointed, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death.  21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.  22 But if I live on in the flesh, this will bring fruit from my work; yet I don't make known what I will choose.  23 But I am in a dilemma between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.  24 Yet, to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake.  25 Having this confidence, I know that I will remain, yes, and remain with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith,  26 that your rejoicing may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my presence with you again.

Romans 1:16

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.
