1 Corinthians 9:19-23

19 For though I was free from all, I brought myself under bondage to all, that I might gain the more.  20 To the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain those who are under the law;  21 to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law.  22 To the weak I became as weak, that I might gain the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some.  23 Now I do this for the gospel's sake, that I may be a joint partaker of it.

Genesis 11:1-6

1 The whole earth was of one language and of one speech.  2 It happened, as they traveled east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they lived there.  3 They said one to another, "Come, let's make brick, and burn them thoroughly." They had brick for stone, and they used tar for mortar.  4 They said, "Come, let's build us a city, and a tower, whose top reaches to the sky, and let's make us a name; lest we be scattered abroad on the surface of the whole earth."

5 Yahweh came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built.  6 Yahweh said, "Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is what they begin to do. Now nothing will be withheld from them, which they intend to do.

Romans 4:1-2

1 What then will we say that Abraham, our forefather, has found according to the flesh?  2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not toward God.

Romans 4:4-5

4 Now to him who works, the reward is not counted as grace, but as debt.  5 But to him who doesn't work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.

Romans 5:1

1 Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
